Wow, football is back! Week one of college just wrapped up and the NFL is set to kick off tomorrow. Boy, are we in for an exciting season. Hopefully you were able to catch the Labor Day weekend blowouts, close games, and controversial calls - was there really a second left?
Unfortunately, in these advanced times we live in, it gets harder every year to watch nationally televised games. Yes, this makes sense. Fortunately, we have a list of guaranteed spots to watch all the games this year. In this town, Saturdays were made for college football so you really just need to walk outside. However, NFL Sundays are trickier to navigate so we highlight bars/restaurants with NFL Sunday Ticket.
Located in Blue Mountain Beach, Red Fish Taco is supposed to carry the NFL Sunday Ticket again this year. Last season, they featured a game day happy hour with $7 margs and $7 nachos. We will see what they have this year, but they made a Facebook post about a week ago getting us ready for football season. They will also have college game days on Saturdays.
The Gulf Club Restaurant & Sports Pub is on the cusp of Miramar Beach and Destin off of Hwy 98. One of my personal favorites, this place has a private TV at practically every table so you can watch whichever game you want. With amazing Sunday specials from 11am-6pm including $5 drinks and $10 flatbreads, you will want to stay all day.
If you are able to get there, Tailfins in Destin Harbor has TV's everywhere you look with a great ocean view. They offer exclusive game day specials, also serving brunch on Sundays until 11am featuring bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys.
Outcast Bar & Grill is off of Hwy 98 at the west end of 30a. They have over 20 TV's, $15 domestic buckets, $20 import buckets, and $25 canned seltzer buckets. They will host college game days on Saturdays. Just let them know which game you want to watch!
Going east, Shades Bar & Grill in Inlet Beach is another place to go to on Sundays (or Saturdays!). Open since 1994, Shades is a local favorite for food, drinks, and sports.
Cajun Sports Bar & Grill is north of the Walmart in Santa Rosa Beach. They are a big local favorite for Saturdays, but also carry NFL Sunday Ticket!
